INTRODUCING
MESSY CHURCH!
Messy Church!
What’s that?!
Don’t we have enough mess already without looking for more?
Messy
Church Christingle
A
magical event happened on Sunday 20th December, Messy Church gathered
in St Michael's to make their Christingles with the help of parents
and helpers alike before holding a candlelit service.

As
can be seen in the image above, the spirit of Christmas was captured
in that simple service and that abiding peace of Advent has been encapsulated
in the photograph of a young community in worship.
Messy
Church is a way of presenting the Christian faith to young people in
a form which is both exciting and absorbing. As the name suggests, it
will involve getting in a mess, in more ways than just paint as children
explore Bible themes and stories through a wide variety of crafts including
clay, water, badge making, origami, and just whatever we come up with.
There will be about 6 different crafts each session.
The
St Michael’s Messy Church Team politely insists that children
under the age of 15 are accompanied by a responsible adult as we are
unable to take parental responsibility for attending children.
