The Next 900 Campaign Appeal

What’s wrong with the building?

We’ve already had to carry out major work on the roof, the tower and the high level masonry of the church.

Unfortunately, rainwater is still getting into the stonework and damaging the walls. We are worried this might be affecting the foundations and the very stability of the building, which is pretty serious!

We therefore urgently need to carry out further repairs to the masonry, replace all the rainwater goods and check the foundations. Once we’re sure we’re keeping all the water out, we can then repair the plasterwork inside and redecorate.

Just to remove all the existing wall finishes and redecorate the interior of the church (not including the repairs to the plasterwork) will cost in the region of £25,000. That’s why we need to raise so much money. (next)
