St. Michael’s Toddler Group
St.
Michael’s Toddler Group exists to bring carers and young children
together for re-creation, friendship and support within a nurturing
Christian environment.
The Group benefits
from a great team of helpers. The staff are very dedicated to their
task and are renowned for lending a listening ear to any carer who
needs support. The Group provides a place where problems and worries
can be shared, whilst little ones are happily occupied.
The Kepier Hall where the Group meets has just been redecorated with
a lovely new floor and paintwork, which everyone is enjoying. New
equipment has also arrived courtesy of ASDA and the Coalfields Forum.
Certain events have become traditional including craft activities
to support the Summer and Christmas Fairs and the annual Christmas
parties. It has been good to again be able to offer second places
to the Toddlers as we are told that for many of them Toddler Group
is one of the highlights of their week.
“It
is quite something to realise that we are now in our 40th year of
offering nurturing opportunities for the younger children of our community
and beyond. We continue to have well attended sessions. It is a delight
to see tiny babies grow into sturdy mischievous toddlers and then
on into confident pre-school children."
